In Pakistan US missile attack & kills 3 in northwest

Pakistani intelligence officials say a U.S. drone has fired two missiles at a shop in the country's northwest, killing three suspected militants and wounding another.

The two officials say Saturday's attack took place in Miran Shah, which is the main town in the North Waziristan tribal region.

It was the third such attack in less than one week.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to the media.

Drone strikes have become an increasingly contentious issue between Washington and Pakistan. Pakistan's parliament has demanded the U.S. end all drone strikes on its territory.

However, the United States has shown no intention of stopping the covert CIA program.
